The VALEDICTORY ADDRESS of my of my daughter JHONA MARIE SATURNO .......... find it yoursefl kung bakit madaming umiyak during the graduation. Our distinguished guest, Dr. Rolando L. Cabutaje, the TASS Superintendent, Rev. Fr. Benjamin T. Lasam, our ever loving Director and School Principal, Ms. Erlinda S. Cortez, our School Chaplain Rev. Fr. Brien Mark Catabay, the Chairman of the Local School Board, Rev. Fr. Carlos Bangay, the dedicated and hardworking faculty and staff, fellow graduates, our dear parents, most of all my ever caring and my lovable PAPA, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Everything happened so fast. It seemed only yesterday when we first set foot on the grounds of SLREI; the place where the magic happened and where the magic is about to end. After all our sufferings in doing our projects, sleepless nights in studying, difficulties in examinations, and over a thousand quizzes, here we are now wearing a white graduation gown and about to formally close this magical chapter of our lives. We have spent years in the endeavour to acquire the moral and intellectual discipline. We’ve been through a lot of distress and hardworks. How many sleepless nights did we have just to study our lessons? How many meals did we skip just to finish our projects? How many problems did we encounter in our four years in high school? How many times did we plan to give up and say ‘MADIKUN, MAUMA NAK AGBASAN’? How many hours, days, weeks, months, and years did we spend in school? But see, this is the fruit of all our sufferings, its worth it right? As they say ‘You can never reach the peak of the mountain without climbing it. As you climb, you will meet a lot of hindrance but you must face it, no turning back because when you reach the top, a paradise is waiting for you’. If only I have the power to slow down the time so that we can stay longer here in SLREI. We will have more time together, we can surprise again our teachers on their birthdays, we can make more noise in our rooms, we can have more crazy moments, and we can have more time to bond and say ‘NAGBORING! INTAYU AGWALAY’, we will have more laughters and tears together. It’s sad to think that after this I am no longer be a student of SLREI, but this prestigious school my alma mater will forever remain in my heart. Here I learned a lot of wisdom which made me a better person. I meet a lot of joy, challenges, failures and success. Despite of these downfalls, I still go forward to bring out the best in me. Ive come to believe that all my past failure and frustrations were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living I now enjoy. Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed on an equal or greater benefit. SLREI developed not only my intellect, but also my whole being. My talents and skills grew, I gained self confidence, my spiritual being was nourished, I attained knowledge and wisdom, and made myself from better to best. I would not be the person I am today without SLREI. I stayed here for 11 years, 11 fruitful years. Studying in this school is a thing to be proud of. I am a RUIZIAN and forever I will be. Its time to say goodbye, though its hard to say so. I know that goodbyes are sad but Id much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure. Hello to our new classmates. Hello to our new school or university. Hello college life. We have all overcome many challenges to get where we are today, and every one of us has achieved success in our own ways and will continue our journey in college. May we all reach our goals in life and become a successful person someday. Gaya ng nakasulat sa tema natin; Hindi natitinag ang pusong Pilipino. Let us therefore give our best to aim high in case we fall short. Whenever we want to achieve something, keep our eyes open, concentrate and make sure we know exactly what we wanted to become. We cannot hit our target with our eyes closed. Thus we need to overcome the tug of people against us as we reach for high goals. Set our goals high, and dont stop till we get there. As I end, In behalf of the Graduating class of School Year 2013-2014, first I would like to thank God for this wonderful gift He had given us. For His guidance as we take His path and for letting us experience living in this world. To our School Director and Principal, I will never forget the time you spent in giving me your morale support when we were together in Albay for the National Schools Press Conference and won the 2nd place in radio broadcasting and whenever Im joining different contest. Ma’am Linda you never get tired of disciplining us. Thank you for all the wisdom and experiences you shared. You’re the one who taught me that ‘Listening is opening your heart and mind to others’, I will never forget this words from you Ma’am, thank you! To my teachers, faculty and staff, without you we will not be here today. Thank you Ma’am, Sir for the patience in teaching us, for all the considerations, for serving as our second parents. You enlightened our minds and developed our skills. Thanks for being our teacher and guiding us towards the right path of life, for your constant encouragement and support. We will always be thankful to you for all the hard work and efforts you have put in, for educating us. You have been the mentor of life, though we did not realize it earlier, now it feels great to have someone who guided us to the right track in life. Especially to our adviser, Ma’am Gen we are sorry for making you cry, you were so patient to us, you always tried your best to understand us, even we were not listening to you, you never get tired of educating us, you had been always there for us. Ma’am GEN thank you. The best of me, reminds me of you. You will forever remain in our hearts. We will always remember all of your WISDOM. Thank you for your support when I joined the pageant and whenever I’m competing in other contest. To my Kuya Robert who always scolds me whenever he knew that there’s someone who is courting me, thank you Kuya for all your support even though you’re not here today. To my ading King ‘Magtatagalog ako para maintindihan mo. To my Lolo Amor and Lola Rosing. Thanks’ for being my Mother and Father sometimes. Thank you Mamang for proxying my papa if he’s not around to attend our school activities, for sharing me your love that my Mama had never given me, for inspiring me in my studies, for those roses you gave whenever I excel in school, for the kisses and hugs every time I ran to you and cry because I miss my Mama, for giving me comfort when Papa scolded me. Thank you Mamang and Daddy for everything! I would not be here in front of you without my parents who suffered and sacrificed a lot. Thank you Mama for the financial support you shared for our studies and needs. I miss you Mama, I miss you so much! How I wish you’re here watching me. I want to kiss you and hug you tight. .... ‘MA AG GRADUATE NAKUN NE, VALEDICTORIAN NAK PAY. DI NAK MAN LANG UMAY KINITA NGA AGMARTSA. HAAN NAK AJAY UBING NGA KANAYUN MAYTAKLEBEN, DAKKEL NAKUN MA.
