The Vampire Diaries Burning Question: Will Tessa Fall For Stefan? faniola As we now know, Qetsiyah, aka Tessa (Janina Gavankar), fell head over heels in love with Silas (Paul Wesley) in ye olde Greece. Nowadays, the witch’s feelings are slightly less warm and fuzzy towards the immortal betrayer. But could Tess fall for Stefan, aka Silas’s doppelganger on The Vampire Diaries? We speculate below! Yes, Tessa totally wanted to keep Stefan We know love is more than just a pretty face, but if Silas and Amara’s doppelgangers have found each other and fallen in love again and again over the centuries, then the connection between them in this original love triangle must be strong. Who’s to say it’s just the connection between Silas and Amara that can stand the test of time? We think there’s a chance Tessa is not as over Silas as she may think. OK, fine, she clearly wants to stab Silas’s eyes out, but what about his lookalike Stefan? Well, Janina certainly seems to think there’s a possibility. She told TV Guide about the possibility of Tessa being drawn to Stefan: “Absolutely, thats inevitable. But hes not the first [doppelganger] shes watched, so she has a lot of restraint. But it is hard. Youll see moments of her staring at him and trying not to fall in love.” We have already seen some evidence that suggests Tessa might want to keep Stefan in her life. Firstly, her attempt to persuade Damon to leave Stefan with her at the end of Season 5, Episode 3: “Original Sin.” Her pitch: she would take good care of him, and then Damon and Elena might have a chance to stay together. We find it more likely that Tessa offered because she wanted Stefan for herself rather than concern over Damon’s love life. Second piece of evidence: Tessa wiped Stefan’s memory. Now, Stefan is all vulnerable and open to manipulation, aka Tessa’s romantic advances. Well played, Qets! No, she’s not going to make the same mistake twice On the other hand, Tessa has had 2,000 years to watch Silas and Amara’s doppelgangers fall in love over and over again. She even warned Damon against it. Why would she put herself between a couple that she truly believes is fated to love one another? She’s already been the third wheel once, and she still hasn’t gotten over it. Speaking of which, we’re not sure if Tessa has any room in her heart (or her life) for new love. She seems to dedicated to getting her revenge. (Cue Taylor Swift’s “Better Than Revenge.”) Considering Tessa has had 2,000 years to change her priorities, we doubt Stefan is going to sway her from her mission — no matter how pretty his face is.
