The Vancouver Police Department is looking for a man who tried tdo drag a woman into a van around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The 22-year-old woman was walking along Prince Albert Street near East 10th Avenue when she was approached from behind and grabbed by a stranger, said a police news release. The man wrapped his arms around the woman and dragged her to a dark green, older model van. He hit her in the head and face with an unknown object as he tried to bring her inside the vehicle. She fought him off, causing him to fall back into the van and giving her to flee. She ran to a nearby home and called 911. The woman was treated in hospital for minor physical injuries, but she has suffered significant emotional distress as a result of the incident, said police. The man was described as white, in his 30s, 6 tall, wearing a dark hoodie and gloves.
