The Victorian Taxi Services Commission (TSC) is launching court - TopicsExpress

The Victorian Taxi Services Commission (TSC) is launching court action against 12 drivers from upstart ride-sharing company Uber X and ordering the company to cease its business in the state, claiming it is illegal. The TSC filed the court action after an undercover investigation, in an attempt to inflict harsher penalties on Uber drivers than the current $1,700 fine. There has been millions of rides here in Australia since weve launched, which is a clear sign that people are looking for another alternative, said the United States-based companys general manager David Rohrsheim.
