The Village of Ashmore has notified Charleston CUSD #1 of repairs to an abandoned gas well near Ashmore Elementary School that will begin at 3:00p.m. today and continue all day tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th. Ashmore Elementary School will be closed on Thursday, April 17th, with Ashmore Elementary School students not attending school. The remainder of the Charleston schools will be open with students in session as normal tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th. For this afternoon and tomorrow, the Ashmore Baptist Church bus stop has been relocated to the Richey’s Furniture parking lot. No other bus stops will be impacted within the Village of Ashmore.
