The Villages of Daporijo Township Areas Welfare Association (VDTAWA) organized a Mass social service at Karle Market to Genchi Colony today on 29th Sept 2014.This is the first-ever and longest social service has been organized in the District,The members of VDTAWA repaired the potholes of the road and washed the drainage.Besides, the President, Secretary and myself have visited door to door and gave a message the to dwellers to keep the surrounding Clean & Hygiene. At the same time,we have also organized prize ceremony for the senior members of the association. I gave away a cash prizes to senior members as a token of respect & love. We appreciated Dr. Dujum Dulom and Mr. Pilum Ligu President and Secretary for their innovative ideas to conduct such a mass social service in the District. So we should not depended only on Govt as per as cleanliness is concerned,rather the civil societies and the concern citizens should take shoulder the responsibility to keep the city/ town clean by organizing this types of Awareness to the people.
