The WAY found me again! Now I know most of you (probably the 1000 or so of my FB friends who dont respond to my quirkiness) dont believe that things just find me when Im writing, or thinking about writing (that would be 99.99% of the time Im breathing), but heres another example. UNDER NORTHERN LIGHTS has a big Northern Lights (go figure) thread throughout the story. So, Im including much of my personal stuff from Alaska in the book, including the walnut pie safe that I mentioned in a post the other day. Im writing a scene where Shade notices the pie safe for the first time and reacts to its virtues as a vintage piece of pioneer family history. Im trying to describe the pie safe and realize I dont even know what design is in the tin panels on the doors. I take a close look from the inside where it can be seen better, and well...Ill let you decide if the WAY has followed me to the White River...2 pics: pie safe and close up of tin panel...
