The Way Home. The song, the video... what does it mean? weve received quite a few comments about this one. From my point of view, when I wrote the words and came up with the idea, it was symbolic of the life journey, which of course is multi-faceted. Many focus on the here and now and I think the song works on that level, but I rather like to reach a little higher. The spiritual/metaphysical holds much fascination for me and I feel that it comes across particularly well through the angelic choir in the tune. The video came together as I took a walk one day, I had my phone with me and strangely, saw the whole 9 minutes or so of footage in my mind, it was just begging to come out. So I recorded my walk along my favourite woodland path, stopping to smell the flowers, pausing for thought, staring up at the sky- reaching... The bridge holds its own symbology of course, the walking track too, everything in the video has its place and Im very happy with the way it turned out. We received one comment from somebody who would like to have seen the video in colour, I get that, although I dont think it would have articulated the timeless aspect of each life journey. Pete really came through again, pulling all of my wacky spiritual meanderings into place, he has a special knack of translating what Im after- mixing the track to its full potential...
