The Way Of Escape! There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it(1 Corinthians 10:13) At one point or the other we face temptations to sin. Often the urge becomes very strong we feel it is better to fulfil it to be free. Temptations or traps to steal, fornicate, lie, fight, cheat etc often come with a stronger urgency and passion than we are use to, so we feel helpless! Fact however remains that there is not one sinful temptation that comes our way that has not been faced by thousands before although it may seem we are the only persons battling such wicked thoughts. Actually, there is no temptation any of us will face that has not been successfully overcome by others. And this success is no accident -- God is faithful, throughout our lives, to keep us from facing temptations that are beyond our strength. If He allowed a temptation into our lives, it only means He has already provided a way of escape.So, beloved, stand strong and tall against each temptation that comes your way. Look not on the deceitful promises or lures of the temptation, but to the way of escape that God has provided for you. It is not beyond your ability overcome. Through Christ we more than conquerors.Pray now for the grace to stand up tall against tempations, making the most of your way of Escape in JESUS NAME.
