The Weather Channel is forecasting a high of 84 degrees on Saturday.... hmmm, warm weather and a pool... what could be a better combination? How about a Swim With Mike Pool Party at the Canyonview Aquatics Center on the UCSD campus?! A synchronized swim team demonstration and free pancake breakfast will start our event at 9 AM. Around 9:45 AM teams will compete in a recreational relay race for fun prizes. Surf dog Ricochet, the SURFice dog! will make a guest appearance around 10:45 AM and will be followed by our guest speakers. Around noon there will be a Kayak Jousting contest and a Water Polo Match/Demonstration. Youre welcome to come cool off in the water and enjoy some good food and music. Most importantly youll meet some of the phenomenal recipients of the Scholarship Fund and leave inspired by their stories of resilience. All proceeds from the event go to support the Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund. The event is free to the public, though donations to support the Fund would be greatly appreciated. Entry to the recreational relay race with prizes is just $20 for a team of four. Please SHARE with your San Diego friends who will certainly need a break from the heat by Saturday morning.
