The Wildlife Habitat Council presents the 25th Annual International Symposium Celebrating Corporate Conservation November 13-14, 2013 Hilton Baltimore in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland The Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) is seeking student participants for our 25th Annual Symposium. WHC is a nonprofit, non-lobbying group of corporations, conservation organizations, and individuals dedicated to protecting and enhancing quality wildlife habitat. WHC’s membership includes more than 95 major corporate members, such as BP, IBM, The Boeing Company and Waste Management just to name a few, and over 40 conservation members including Ducks Unlimited, National Wildlife Federation, and The Conservation Fund among many others. WHC also works closely with many federal and state governmental agencies. WHC aims to encourage partnerships and voluntary environmental initiatives across the globe. Student Scholarships for WHC’s Annual Symposium • Our corporate members will sponsor eight (8) students. • Students can come from any environmental or science related discipline, undergraduate, graduate, or post graduate studies. • Each student scholarship will include hotel accommodations and one fully prepaid registration. • Each student will have full access to all symposium activities including panel sessions and one educational field trip or indoor activity, along with meals. • Scholarship winners will be given the opportunity to exhibit research with a free exhibit in our exhibit hall. • Amazingly unique opportunity to network with potential employers in the environmental related field. 25th Annual Symposium • Over 400 government, corporate, and conservation leaders expected. • Celebrate the accomplishments of WHC members in protecting biodiversity throughout the history of this unique collaborative of corporations, non-profit organizations and governmental partners. • 65 exhibitors expected including corporations, non-profits, conservation organizations, and federal and state governmental agencies! If you wish to exhibit, please also submit a one-page statement of a project or topic of interest. Students that choose to exhibit are preferred as you will get much greater visibility and attention with an exhibit!
