The Womens Project: Success Story #3 We have been following a mother who is sober since leaving a residential treatment program. When The Women’s Project began meeting with her, she was homeless, and staying with friends and family. She is presently reunified with her children, has an income and affordable housing. She is clean and sober, stopped smoking cigarettes and lost a considerable amount of weight, improving her mobility. This Mom is proactive in her recovery, attends the gym to work out when she can, and loves walking and spending time with her children. She looks forward to the support of The Women’s Project. We visit and listen to her stressors, and support her to get to recovery support meetings, and encourage her to attend counseling and parenting classes. She is one of many mothers that The Womens Project has worked with over the past twenty years. Next week, UNO is holding a Dough Raiser to benefit The Womens Project, to help support the programs work - you can show your support by stopping in any time during the week of June 23rd - 28th and having a meal, or ordering delivery or takeout. When you pay, give the server/delivery person a Dough Raiser ticket, and at the end of the week, UNO will tally the sales, and donate up to 20% of the weeks sales (minus tax and tip). You can download Dough Raiser tickets on our website: bit.ly/1pS67CO There is no limit to the number of times you can participate, and we encourage you to share the Dough Raiser tickets with friends and family. Your support means mothers working on their recovery get to support meetings, and learn the skills they need to be healthy, sober parents. Thanks in advance for your support!
