The Word for Today: Dont be the problem but be the solution. Genesis 41:15-16 “And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” Joseph answered Pharaoh, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.” Yahweh uses all of our circumstances for our good and His glory (Genesis 50:20, Romans 5:17). No matter how rough the circumstances, it is to be used to help us see Yahweh and then to help us help others with the wisdom and testimony that we acquire from the experience (Joshua 4:5-7, 1 Samuel 17:35-37, Mark 5:1-20, 1 Corinthians 10:6-11). Too many times we go through (or we are going through) a situation and we think we are not part of Yahweh’s plan (1 Peter 4:12). This is a lie from hell for Yahweh uses everything for the moving of His will (Romans 8:28). His goal is that all come to a knowledge of Him being the one true God (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 4:11-15). Since this is an imperfect world, He has to use imperfect people to assist Him. That means we have to become willing to be changed for Him which means He has to “break us” and transform us into His obedient children (Jeremiah 4:3, Isaiah 64:8, Romans 12:2). For some of us, this is harder than others (John 21:20-22). The amazing thing is that while the process is happening He still can use us. David was not complete when he defeated Goliath (Psalms 51). Peter had the Holy Spirit before He was confronted for being a bigot (Acts 2, Acts 10, Galatians 2:11-13). Moses was called and led the children of Israel even while still having a bad temper (Numbers 20:10-12). I could go on but the key point is that in spite of what you think of yourself (right now) know that your role is to be a blessing to others for we each have a gift that Yahweh has given us and it is not to be used for our pleasure but for His (Zechariah 8:13, Proverbs 11:25-31). Get your eyes off of you and onto to Him and be blessed as you are a blessing to others (Hebrews 12:1-2, Psalms 16:8). It is your destiny (Genesis 12:2).
