The Word of God says that the truth will set you free which means that the opposit is true. The lack of truth will keep you hurting, captive, and broken. Many times in the pain of my own soul i tend to blame the hurt on others or sadly even on God but his truth says to me that the reason i hurt and feel bound is because what i choose to believe about God, others, and myself does not line up with the truth. Truth doesnt mean living painlessly because The Word himself suffered the most. Rather living in truth can see a cross as a joy set before him and the truth empowers us to face all lies with confidence, courage, and in freedom. As opposed to being overcome we become overcomers by the word of our testimony and the blood of the lamb.
