The World Health Organisation says 467 people are now known to have died from the deadly Ebola virus in West Africa. The number has risen by nearly twenty percent compared to a week ago. With more than 750 known cases, it has been confirmed as the largest ever outbreak of ebola. The medical charity MSF said the epidemic is now out of control. Correspondents say the latest sudden rise in infections will increase pressure on West African health ministers to coordinate a regional response when they meet in Ghana on Wednesday. Ebola was first reported in March in Guinea and spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone.
