The UN refugee agency reported that the number of refugees, asylum-seekers and internally displaced people worldwide has, for the first time in the post-World War II era, exceeded 50 million people. The war in Syria. The war in South Sudan. The conflicts in the Central African Republic, Iraq, Kenya and Afghanistan. It adds up. And the number doesn’t count the latest wave of violence in Iraq yet. Half of the displaced are children.
