The Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia (YBAM) and Fo Guang Shan Malaysia (FGS) will be initiating “Pray for MH370” Inter-faith Prayer Service on 31st of March 2014 (Monday), at 7.30pm at the Buddhist Maha Vihara, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur in order to pray for the passengers and crew members of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 and also for their family members and friends to get through this unfortunate incident with a strong heart. The Prime Minister’s Department, the Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST), the Friendship Group for Interfaith Religious Services (FGIS), and the Malaysian Buddhist Consultative Council (MBCC) will be the supporting organisers for this prayer service. Meanwhile, the various leaders and religious clergies will also be giving out blessings through their own religious ceremonies. The disappearance of MH370 on 8 March 2014 en route to Beijing allows us to see the true meaning of life as well as encouraging us to learn to treasure our family and friends. As Malaysians, we earnestly give out our blessings to everyone on the MH370 Flight; at the same time, we also give our blessings to their families and friends, wishing that they will be able to walk through this “Valley in Life” with braveness and a strong-will. The organiser welcomes everybody to join in this blessing ceremony in order to send our blessings and to offer our power of caring; let us go through this hardship together with family members and friends of MH370 Flight’s passengers and crew members, and may our care and love accompany them.
