The Zambia under 17 National Team arrived here(Gaborone) safely in the early hours Wednesday morning, The team that left Lusaka on Tuesday at 10:00hrs arrived Wednesday at 07;05 HOURS and was welcomed by a police vehicle escort right to their Base at the luxurious cresta presidential Hotel situated at the heart of the city center. meanwhile under 17 coach Cris KAUNDA expressed happiness with reception of the host and said his mind now is to switch to the game itself on Friday and now his main concern is to recondition the bodies of the boys to playing level especially after this long tedious journey by road. asked if this long trip will affect the boys the soft spoken coach said, the boys are used to such distances and will not be affected in any way. in fact we did all the donkey work back home now my main focus is just to recondition the boys in readiness for the match.and dont forget that we are here to fight for our country and we wont allow Botswana to sit on our happiness. yes their playing at home but these boys have bigger hearts nothing will scare them.we are here to finish off our journey we started two week ago. the mentor also praised the Zambian people for their support rendered to the team both positive and negative. on the four key players who are on the injury list the trainer said he has enough back up, i case the quartet fair to beat the time. Doctors are really working round the clock but let the nation not worry much. the four are influential captain patson Daka( groin) Enock Mwepu scorer of the lone goal a fortnight ago.(groin), Right back defender wenny museba and midfielder Musonda Siame.(Groin). and Delegation leader LEE kawanu said playing in the flood lights wont affect the boys has their have played under such conditions before, just recently in italy when the team played against japan, so we are ready even to play at midnight. the leader also thanked the two drivers for the comfortable driver. this crucial match will be played on Friday at 18:00hrs at a 7,000 capacity university of Botswana stadium.... meanwhile the boys have been asked to sleep for 5 hours and have their first light training at 16:00hrs. match officials are coming from Uganda.
