The ability to post remarks under Aliases and to replace photos of you with characters that gives a false sense of power to some. I always post under my real name or use my real photo because I want you to know I said it. Below is a video I did several years ago on the subject of Black women, hair and beauty, I have remained consistent on my beliefs regarding this subject. Recently on another group page I was accused of bashing Black women because I commented on the fact ethnic women are the most naturally beautiful women on the face of the earth. I further stated, and I stand by that, the darker the woman (Black women) the more beautiful she is. I stated Black women do not need weaves or fake eye lashes to be beautiful because they are naturally beautiful.. I believe this is the same mentality that criticized Byonce for not straightening Blue Ivys hair. The same mentality that criticized Gabby Douglas and Quvenzhané Wallis for what they considered wild hair. I must ask this question. How can we criticize our children for picking the White doll or the White play mate over the Black one when we state the only standard for beauty is European. But it goes beyond that. Many Blacks have moved away from the Black Power and Black is Beautiful movement of the 60s and into the European is not only beautiful but the answer. Self hate is greatest destroyer of anyone. As for me, I am and always will be unashameably Black. The Europeanization of Blacks, especially Black women, is troubling to me.
