The absurdity here is that of ignoring voluminous proof that when the citizenry is permitted to carry arms, the incidence of violence decreases in concomitant proportion, that while liberals continue efforts to disarm the public - and, logically, to increase incidence of violence. Were this any other science, immunology, for instance, those who tried to stop successful inoculation against disease would suffer both civil and criminal penalties, to say nothing of public opprobrium. The liberal and anti-gun efforts to erode and undermine the Second Amendment is literally criminal, and ought be punished severely. More, those proponents of legislation like that discussed here should be required to post the equivalent of performance bond, to be forfeited wherever supposed results are not what proponents claim to be their purpose. All of this is pimp posturing for the purpose of personal aggrandizement and power, having nothing to do with public safety. How has the ludicrous background check worked in Chicago, for instance?
