The administrative secretary in my department is sending some - TopicsExpress

The administrative secretary in my department is sending some mails to Nigeria and thought there was something missing in the addresses. She invited me to look at the address to see if i could provide the missing tooth of the jigsaw. I took a long and a hard look to see if i could find something unusual. She intervened again by saying she thought there should be some numbers (postcode) at the end of the name of the country. My response: We are not there yet, when we can understand that be it a capitalist or socialist society, the society must be organized in ways that unlock its economic potentials! Billions are generated by the postal services in countries where the postal services is an employer. Billions are generated by other house-to-house delivery agencies because the economic logic is to create commerce around our luxuries. What about the provision of security? For the past 15 years, attempts in Ghana to provide national identification cards and number houses have only served as conduits to channel campaign funds. I agree that we have failed our generation! We want to participate in the global economy, but unprepared to do the things that will open our economies up for such participation. We want to create jobs, but lack the organizing logic for any meaningful job creation. Why wont others think that we simply do not measure up?
