The admins had a discussion yesterday regarding posts wherein members are asking if someone knows a certain persons whereabouts, current last name, etc. While we discuss this issue in the posting guidelines, we felt it important to bring it up again. If you or someone you know is aware of the whereabouts (or current last name) of a person being sought, its best NOT to give it out publicly or even in a private message to the seeker without the permission of the person. Regardless of what the poster may say, you cant be sure what their motives are and perhaps the person they are looking for does not wish contact. Worse-case scenario, the poster could be a stalker. So - when you see these posts and you know the person they are looking for, rather than giving out their location info publicly please contact that person and let them know someone is looking for them so they can choose contact or not. And many thanks to all of you for all the wonderful posts on this page, and helping us keep to the page mission of history and nostalgia.
