The amount of happiness I feel right now knowing that for the first night of my life an the first of my life to come I am laying next to my husband, an he is laying next to his wife is an overwhelming flow of emotions. Weve been wanting this for so long an we have finally consummated our life long union. The roads may not always be straight an we must face the fact that potholes will come but we will be able to face them together because of the strength we give each other. Ive know for so long how strong my feelings were for this man. An even now thinking about how utterly consumed I was for those first few months still leaves me in a catatonic state of happiness far beyond any experience I have had before. My life has changed in so many ways but it has had a level of happiness that not even the astronauts could reach. Soon well have our own home again an well start from the bottom to create a good life someday in the future. Time, effort, patients, forgiveness, love, affection, dedication, commitment, hard work, and perseverance is what will need an we may not have much but we do have those characteristics. Im so looking forward to being Ashley Lynn Showalter for the rest of my life but Im glad that Teeter is who I grew as I think it prepared me well.
