The approaching spring carries strange winds and a taste of change. In them, Ive found my religion. The first vernal downpour today has given me a taste of the divine in the only way a human may ever drink of it - instant, complete understanding. I am a Rainian. Guilt and sin are personal endeavours, not mystical ones. The rain will always be there to wash you of doubt and despair, even when a god will not. It is here with you on the earth, not hiding away just out of reach, and it can always be relied upon to make itself known to you, day or night, whether you pray or not. It is like your kin, always dropping by once in a while whether you need it to or not. It also stays away at times, teaching you the value of strength and willingness to take on your trials alone, without the expectation of emotional support. But then, when the fight has tempered or broken you, the rain returns once more to congratulate or console you, as need be. It doesnt care what you think you want, it provides what you NEED, regardless of your hatred or appreciation, as a true god should. The rain is my family, my friend, my guardian, my true cleansing, nourishing force from above. I am a Rainian.
