The art of War............Personally I like gorilla war fare.....and I never did believe in the policy of someone hitting me first...... shrugging... How many first strikes do they have to deliver before we realize that they long ago crossed the retaliatory line? "Violence is always the last choice. But it does not become the last choice after repeated and unreasonable aggressions by others. It becomes the last choice in each aggression. I was always taught that you don’t hit first. You stand your ground, unless both of you find a way to walk away peacefully without a physical confrontation. But you do not strike your opponent first. However, once your opponent touches you, you have the human right, the human responsibility, to use whatever force is necessary to remove/subdue the threat. Sometimes subduing takes a simple blow. Sometimes it requires breaking a bone or rendering someone unconscious. If push comes to shove, it can even call for dealing death. This is the reality of a powerful, unyielding love of one’s, and one’s people’s, humanity. The main problem with us using the “don’t hit first” logic, and it is a most serious problem when we as Afrikan men are dealing with European men, is that they have struck us again and again without an effective or, in many cases, any response. In fact, they have struck that “first” blow so many times already that it appears that we have become so numb from their blows that we can’t tell that they are still hitting us. How many first strikes do they have to deliver before we realize that they long ago crossed the retaliatory line? You can’t talk peace in the heat of battle. And you can’t wait for the first blow if that blow will kill you. There is no returning to the battlefield from death. And there is no pride in a warrior falling without taking victims."
