The average Nigerian is not interested in having billions of naira - TopicsExpress

The average Nigerian is not interested in having billions of naira in his bank account. He is not interested in having more than a comfortable house. He is not interested in being the president of Nigeria or even the governor of his state. He wants good jobs, food security, good and affordable health care facilities, stable power supply, good roads and good and affordable education. If these can be guaranteed, then Nigeria will be a better place where one can live in comfort. But our leaders do not want the ordinary man to live like a human being. They steal all our resources and impoverish us and make the future of our unborn children miserable even before they are concieved. They want the status quo maintained so that theirs will inherit them. This is why they will use all sorts of propaganda to stop a disciplined man ascending the throne of leadership. They paint all kinds of gory picture on our gullible minds to distract. They call him a religious and tribal bigot. When that does not work, they say he is a coupist and ex-general. When did it become a sin to be a millitary man? More than 50% of America‘s past presidents were in the US army at one time or the other.Jerry Rawlings was an ex-millitary. No one says Buhari is a saint because no one is a saint. Assuming without conceeding that Buhari is guilty of all the accusations labelled against him, at least we all agree on his intergrity, discipline, courage and zero tolerance to corruption. If we also agree that the twin problems bedevilling our land now is corruption and indiscipline, then Buhari is the reason for te season. If God can use Moses, a murderer, to save his people, then a Buhari candidacy remains the viable answer to our myriad of problems.
