The awe moments that take your breathe away. Late afternoon on our deck....there I am sorting through a 500 piece puzzle....getting the straight edges and the blue sky and the green grass and the stoned castle pieces into little piles for my Dewey and I to try to put together..... the air is softly warm......no breeze......in the distance the gentle rumble of soft thunder......the skies are gray.....! I look up and see the canopy of green leaves covering our deck in green....thinking who lives among your branches....squirrels, birds, worms, mites.....ticks? just looking up....then looking to the west and see two trees already starting to turn.....one already gold the other golden orange. The stillness and the quiet invade my little space and then I look and see leaves gently falling, gliding dropping to the deck. The rumble of the thunder gets closer......and louder....then the pitter patter of raindrops start falling from the sky. The moments are so serene and then......Dewey says it is raining.......you have to go in.....! The puzzle is inside....the raindrops are falling and popcorn is popping in the microwave. The awe moments that take my breathe away......and make me smile.
