The beach. The ocean. The sunsets. White sand (brought some back with us!). Drank some salt water. We actually only went to the beach on 2 separate days, but they were glorious days. Us Northerners were not used to it. Walking through the sand was tough, & a slightly annoyed Soph said, theres too much snow! :-) At the night of worship on Thursday night, we sang that song Oceans from Hillsong United. At many points during the past 19 months, the waves of life, this freakin cancer, the uncertainty of the future were overwhelming for us, knocking us down. We are still a work-in-progress & havent fully digested these lessons, but that song & last week with the beach/ocean were reminders that even when we think we are drowning & knocked down, Gods grace & sovereign hand is still there. Waves seem endless, but He is in control & wants good for us.
