The bear escaped because this is not a zoo - it is entertainment facility - these animals are trained to act in movies, shows etc and they live in substandard circumstances for captive bears. The locals were not informed by MNR because the business is friendly with the agency and did not want to make it seem as if this business is a local liability. The escape of wildlife from this facility is not the first and it will not be the last.
