The beast, even after last nights award show, remains hungry, and the masses are eager to comply with its feeding regulations and needs. The masses will worship at the alter of the beast this Sunday. It will be the trendy and hip thing to do. Many will know nothing of the game they bow before, but will be there because they enjoy the commercials, which is actually the purpose of the service. The worship of the beast this Sunday will be the ultimate coronation of all things corporate. The masses will gladly feed the beast, and its corporate demons, for this is the nature of tradition in America. Legions of people who wouldnt know a field goal from a touchdown will gush, between handfuls of chips and dip, over the entertaining commercials, comfortable in knowing that before the alter of the beast is where everyone else in America is also genuflecting. Millions all over the world will know the names of the two corporate-sponsored teams performing for the beast this Sunday, but chances are that most of the worshipers have never heard of FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR., who has quietly and artfully sweated and battled his way, since his hard life and childhood, to becoming perhaps the greatest fighter since Ali. But this is not important for now. What remains important is that the masses are preparing to feed the beast. This is what the beast wants and needs, and what the beast will get.
