The beauitful and humble lady behind the WIST team .......... Eagle Sandia started dancing at age 10 in Sunday School and Youth Group activities at Annandale Assembly of God Church. She started a private dance group when she was 15 years with Clive from Classique. He was then a member of the National Dance Company. After two days of class, she was asked to join the Nitrageet dance group and she did. Sandia said, After much labouring with my father, my then Pastor, Ray Bunbury from Buxton Full Gospel, told daddy not to worry because he had confidence that I wouldnt go astray. LOL. Sandia danced with Nitrageet for about 3 to 4 years. She continued, I benefited from the teaching of the Sawhs sisters (Indian dancers), Andre Subran and Clive. I did Classical Indian, Folk, African, modern dance and I had some elementary ballet training. While still with Nitrageet at age 17, Sandia joined the National School of Dance, where she did modern and African dances. Her stint lasted approximately 5 years and at the end of her journey there, she was a student of the Advanced Class. Sandia`s abilities were not only developed in Guyana, but other parts of the world. In Trinidad and Tobago, she went to Candance Clarke Dance Studio for about 4 months where she did modern dance. She also attended the Caribbean School of Dance for 2 semesters where modern and ballet dances were undertaken. Nevertheless, Sandia knows that no matter where she goes to sharpen her skills, the ultimate teacher Is Jesus Christ! This is what she said: My true teacher and guide has always been the Holy Spirit. Sandia has recently graduated from Eagles Institute of Training where she is always seeking to develop herself daily spiritual and physically. Sandia is now the Director of WIST. She is humble and extremely passionate about her Ministry and serving the Lord with it. She is prudent and graceful and blesses anyone she comes into contact with. WIST loves you Sandia!
