The beautiful Juhu ISKCON opened in 1978 houses statues of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari and Sri Sri Sita Rama Laxman Hanuman. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON is the man behind the Lord Krishna temple. The entire complex includes the temple, auditorium, a huge courtyard, a restaurant and a guesthouse. The temple is known as much for its divinity as the food at its restaurant -Govindas. Serving only vegetarian fare but International cuisine like Thai, Mexican and Chinese too Govinda can seat up to 275 guests. The interesting thing about the food is that all food preparations are first offered to the deities and then served at the restaurant as a form of “Prasad”. A heavenly mix of starters, breads, desserts and curries simply elevates your soul. The day begins with Mangala Aarti at 4:30 a.m. and in the afternoon Raj Bhoag Aarti is performed at 12:30 p.m. to offer the food to the deities.
