The beautiful actress Donna Douglas, who played Elly May Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies has passed away. She was 81 so she had a good run. As most of you know my real name is not Elly Mayday, Rather a merger of two things. Elly May Clampett being one and Mayday as a homage to my career. I loved the name Elly and I loved the character. She was strong, innocent, beautiful and loved her critters! Growing up on a farm I always wanted to be her! I remember coming to boarding school in the city in grade 9— going from 10 kids in my class to 150. It was a change! Rip Donna, I hope life was good to you.
