The beautiful weather we are having affected the turn out on week 2 of the Bar Logo and Plough sponsored Northern summer darts league but that was to be expected and i have to say the darts were just as hot. Leading the way at the summit of the league is Wayne Harrison ( won 7 lost 0 )fresh from his great showing to claim the first of four slots at the Isle of man classic which is an exhibition at thw Villa where last year they played against stars of the game Phil Taylor and Michael Van Gerwen to name two so congrats on that Wayne. He did however lose his first leg of the campaign against the on form Dave Faragher ( 13th on won 3 lost 4 )who has really picked himself up after a poor game last week. Second place is a man who will certainly be one to watch come September when the league kicks off in anger again. Jamie J Skillan is bang in form and win one lose but 7 wins is a man to be feared this year. There are then four players on won 6 out of 6 Paul Aggie Arthur who has yet to lose a leg Gazza Uren , Paul Palmer and Chris Claire Mcconnell all with just one leg lost . John Taylorsits pretty in 8th place after missing last week he made up for it winning 4 of his 5 games only losing out to his regular pairs partner Martyn Long who himself sits 12th on won 3 lost 3. First of the ladies is Nicola Libreri who proved that last weeks scalps were no flukes by beating Northern championships quarter finalist Ashley Grose in a greag game. Nic has figures of won 4 lost 3 where as Ash is yet to record a win but it is surely just a matter of when. Mike Jelski climbs up the table to now sit in 14th after winning two of his games this week ( w2 l4 ). Another player not where he should be in the league is Malla Callow ( 15th w2 l4 ) had a great game against Aggie. David Lee should have won a great game against Aggie but his doubles let him down . If he plays like that every week he will definately be sitting in the top half of the table come the end. Alana Ferguson may have not won a game yet but she has given plenty of the title chasers scares none more so than Paul Palmer last week. She will start winning soon you can take my word on that. Week three falls on Englands last group stage at the world cup but with the game starting at 5 we will still be playing . Thanks to Ali Edmunds, Mike Jelski , Steve White and the crew for being our first sponsors we really appreciate it.
