The bedroom tax has now been given legal status in the courts! Maggie Thatcher brought out the right to buy; this also stopped the councils using this money to build more social housing to replace the ones that were sold. This has taken at least 30 % of council houses out of the pool; this is one of the reasons for the shortage, not to mention the population growth and the massive immigration (helped by Blair and Mandelson so no party is innocent) Why should someone have to leave their friends and community just because their children have grown up and left their homes? Most of these MPs have at least two houses, (one paid for by us) If the government spent on a council housing programme this would stop the need for throwing disabled people out of their HOMES and also help to get the country out of this recession by boosting the construction ( and its suppliers) industry.
