The beginning When I first thought about the concept of The Conversation I had envisaged inviting a guest writer or celebrity to start it, however, this World has changed so much since then, social networking has become a corporate playground more geared up to making money than satisfying the needs of it’s non profitable profile holders, unsettling revelations of government spy networks eavesdropping on our every digital move also compelled me to begin from The beginning, plus the fact that I saw starting it as a great way to help explain it. I am not a very articulate writer thats for sure, I hope that those not too confident with words will be inspired to follow my lead in expressing their opinions in a more descriptive way than they are used to on the more instantly gratifying established networks. On The Conversation we will not limit your character input or thrive on a fast moving feed, on the contrary, we want to encourage intelligent debate, we want to stimulate conversation, enliven interactions, cause controversies and fly off at tangents, in fact we want you to use the tools that we have built to recreate how a real conversation evolves, we provide the means for you to address any comment ever made on The Conversation, you can change a comments category and subject, you can rate in ways not available anywhere else, in fact I have a feeling people bored with tittle tattle will really like The Conversation not only because of the innovative steps we have taken but because through that innovation we provide a medium to revive The ART of conversation.
