The beginning of this article feels slightly problematic, especially considering the way it refers to all organised religions. I have never felt that feminism and faith were mutually exclusive, but when you characterise all religions by your own paradigm and through a limited experience I suppose you could decide to throw them out with the rest of misogyny. While some religions have influenced our view of gender roles and some religions continue to enforce rigid gender roles many have moved with human progress and embraced more loose gender roles. It is also important to note that certain religious practices may look misogynistic from an outside paradigm, they are actually very empowering to women within those religions.
