The beginning of truly landmark direction for the Yurok Tribal Government. Tribal Council Members and the Yurok Economic Development Council have given approval for a 100% Tribal Member Construction Program. The Program is comprised of Licensed Tribal Contractors and Journeyman for the construction of Tribal Buildings and provide on the job training and job skill development for Yurok Tribal Members. This has a been a pilot program that Dean Baker, Matt Williams and myself have been advocating for over 3 years. We would like to call out to any other Tribal Contractors that would like to share some of their expertise to assist in Construction and Trade Skill Training.
