The best part of growing chickens in an urban atmosphere is when the neighbors tire of their crop and upkeep...Thats where I come in. I can cook an old chicken just as well as I can cook a young bird. I also think that its a bit odd that some folks dont think the whole fresh eggs thing through. They were good with the eggs...but when the chicken stops producing eggs...well...they either have food or a pet. Some folks dont get that. That being said...I just took my neighbors bird Clara out of the oven. Shes was stuffed with fresh apples and butternut squash.
