The bible says and Jesus says; two very distinct statements with very different meanings, one killing and the other giving life. The bible says... How many times have you heard of that saying? The bibles says:Bring all your tithes to the storehouse; the bible says,Thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established, the bible says,We are the head and not the tail, the bible says,And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry, the bible says,The promises of God are yes and amen, the bible says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.. And so many things that the bible says that are copy pasted into doctrines of the church, but how many have cared to search what Jesus says in light of what the bible says? The scriptures I have quoted and how they are literally applied by the church is a classical example of how the letter killeth. Jesus is the spirit of God, and the spirit gives life but the letter killeth. Jesus says: John 5:39-40 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. It is the same Jesus who can make you understand the scriptures: Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. Brethren, with your whole hearts seek after Jesus, and study the scriptures seeking Jesus, in him only do you find life, not in the bible or in any religion, or denominations of men. Peace of God brethren.
