The bidding for the Mactan-Cebu airport project is all set for 2 p.m., giving the government a chance to highlight its infrastructure program, amid the pork barrel controversy, and fears Typhoon Yolanda will slow economic growth. The P17.5-billion project, will be the biggest PPP to be bid out so far. The government has bid out just four others so far. The government says, its confident seven groups will submit bids today, after it delayed the bidding to make the project more attractive. Prospective investors include Ayala-Aboitiz, Metro Pacific-JG Summit, and San Miguel, partnered with the operators of Changi, Incheon and other airports around the world.
