The big economic story of our times is ... how China and India began to embrace neoliberal ideas of economics and attributed a sense of dignity and liberty to the bourgeoisie they had denied for so long. The result was an explosion in economic growth Hundreds of millions of people have moved from abject poverty to middle class over the past 30 years. America has been moving toward a higher level of state control while China and India have been moving to a lower level of state control. The result is stagnation in America.
