The big weather story coming up appears to be a serious invasion of winter-like temperatures next week. Guidance is throwing out some strong signals that on Tuesday, arctic air will plunge deep into the country bringing temperatures WAY below normal for many. Whether or not snow will accompany this cold air and how long will it stick around for has yet to be seen. Right now the mid range GFS model has this cold air lasting all the way into the weekend. The plot on the top is projected high temperatures on Wednesday the 12th from the GFS. The plot on the bottom is the EURO model also showing arctic air invading on Tuesday. The bottom line, it looks like were in for an early dose of winter!
