The biggest issue in the campaign for County Executive is how Frederick County should grow. We know more people will want to live here. Residential growth should happen in the right place, at the right time, with infrastructure and services. This just makes good sense and is good planning. We do not need to subsidize housing. While my opponent Blaine Young has approved over $160 million in property tax subsidies to residential development, I believe these tax dollars should stay in the county coffers to invest in core services like education, public safety, senior services, and roads. Who should pay is one of the fundamental differences between my opponent and I. Citizens deserve a County Executive who cares more about protecting taxpayers and less about ensuring developer profits. PLEASE SHARE
