The body of 48-year-old Todd Philip Ginestra was recovered Wednesday in the water off Fort Island Gulf Beach. Foul pay is not suspected and the medical examiner’s office will be determining the cause of death, according to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office. Ginestra, whom the sheriff’s office believed had come to Citrus from Lake County on Tuesday, was said to have arrived at the beach about 10 a.m. that day, wearing a bathing suit. His vehicle was found at the beach area but his whereabouts was unknown, prompting a search. An alert was issued by sheriff’s officials early Wednesday, requesting anyone with information related to Ginestra to contact them. On Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office issued the notice that his body had been recovered.
