The body of Chicago man who went missing in Lake Michigan in late May was recovered near Central Beach Thursday night. Shawn Brown, conservation officer for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, said a boater and member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary found the body of Ron Wood Jr. floating about 1 mile off shore near the far west border of Central Beach. Wood, 29, went missing around 6:30 p.m. May 31. Wood and several others were aboard his 33-foot SeaRay motorboat north of Mount Baldy when two of the passengers went swimming and began drifting away from the boat.
