The bombastic Bambulu in James Ene Henshaws play titled,This is our chance,comes to my mind this morning.Back in St. Clares Nursery and Primary,Osogbo in those days,I remember being shortlisted to act the character,Bambulu,in a drama organised by the school.I narrowly missed out on final selection.A few lines in that play have,however,stuck in my memory.Hear Bambulu on his invention of an anti-snake bite vaccine,This is the child of my brain,the product of my endeavour and the materialisation my own intentive genius...Western science has not been able to produce anything more potent....You would fall in love with drama listening to Bambulu.Perhaps,if I had fired up a bit my interest in drama,I would today have been a familiar face in what Nigerians call the home video.
