The bombshell this afternoon about Lois Lerner funneling Tea Party information to Representative Elijah Cummings is HUGE! The e-mail evidence cannot be refuted. Here we have a high-ranking Democrat Congressman (ranking member of Issas House Ways and Means Committee) helping Lerner and the IRS target conservative groups. I think that qualifies as more than a smidgen of SCANDAL in bright red letters! Since Cummings has previously denied all this nefarious conduct, he should get a chance to deny it before a federal grand jury. Maybe he and Lerner, Holder, and a few others could car pool that day. But now we know why Cummings and the Democrats want to stifle any investigation by Issas panel into why the IRS was purposely targeting conservative groups applying for the same status as liberal groups, not one of which were ever so targeted according to sworn testimony of IRS agents disclosed only this week.
