The book of Revelation, Chapter 13:16-17 reveals that at some period of Earths history a power will be able to monitor and track every person on the planet that engages in any form of commerce; including employment, business, and all day-to-day transactions such as buying food or paying bills etc. The Mark of the Beast And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:16-17. With modern technology, most governments of the first and developing world, could easily implement sanctions against dissenters of state laws simply by not issuing an debit or credit cards. Americans over the past decade have witnessed an all-out assault on their beloved constitution by U.S presidents and policy makers, promising protection in exchange for a loss of liberties. Will the Mark of the Beast be enforced by a similar cause and effect scenario? There are many misconceptions about the number 666 and what the Mark of the Beast exactly is. Everything from the RFID chip under the skin, bar codes and government 666 tattoos, have been explained to fit this seemingly mysterious prophecy. But there is no need to place an inaccurate human construction on such a life or death matter; when all of the answers are in one of the most interesting chapters of the Bible. In the Third Angel s Message of Revelation 14:9-12, which warns against the mark of the beast, and which denounces such fearful judgment against all who receive it, there is also a seal of God. So humankind will have will have two choices. So what is a beast in Bible prophecy? Daniel 7:23 “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms…” Answer: In Bible prophecy, the definition of a beast is a kingdom or power. More clues are given on this kingdom/power in the following Bible verses: •ruled the world for 1260 years, 538 to 1798 A.D. and received a deadly wound that later heals (See Revelation 13:3). •is both, a political and religious power, which is worshiped (See Revelation 13:4). •tampered and changed Gods law (See Daniel 7:25). •has a leader that professors to be God on Earth and claims to be able to forgive sins (which is blasphemy - See Revelation 13:1). •is the mother church (she has daughters that follow her false teachings and subject themselves to her rule: Sunday keeping churches). Revelation 17:5 •made war with the saints (See Revelation 13:7). •is a power that the world wonders after (See Revelation 13:3,4) •has a man at its head with the number of his name being 666 (See Revelation13:18) •has a mark which, if received (when enforced by law), will cause the individual to be cast into the lake of fire and lose eternal life. Those who receive the mark will also be stricken by the seven last plagues of Gods unmingled wrath. Without a doubt, all these clues point to the Papacy. What is the mark of Papal authority? Lets ask the Papacy: Sunday is our mark or authority...the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact. ~ Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923. So we know that a beast represents a kingdom/power in Biblical prophesy and now we understand what her mark is. Here is another quote from the Catholic Church: Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change (Saturday Sabbath to Sunday) was her act...and the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things. H.F. Thomas, chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons. One of the greatest deceptions of all time is, which day should we keep Holy. The Bible is very clear on this matter. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work . . “ Exodus 20:8-10. The Sabbath commandment was never option, neither was it acceptable to change this law written by the Finger of God (in stone) at Sinai and which was instituted at the beginning of the creation. Genesis 2:3 says: “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” The counterfeit Sabbath (Sunday) was instituted in 321 A.D. by Roman Emperor Constantine, who in his nominal conversion to Christianity, amalgamated the Christian religion with Paganism, moving the Sabbath (Saturday) to the pagan sun-worship day. The apostles and all the early churches comprising of both Jew and gentile kept the Sabbath (Saturday) until Rome made the change. Not one single Bible verse gives license to the change of the 4th commandment “thou shalt keep the Sabbath Day Holy.” In recent years, the Vatican has vehemently denied that, when a Pope is crowned, he receives the title Vicarius Filii Dei, however by their own admission in the past years the Roman Catholic Church has made statements affirming this to be true. Vicarius Filii Dei (Latin: Vicar or representative of the Son of God) adds up to 666 in Latin, Greek and Hebrew. United States of America In Prophecy Revelation 13:11 I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. “One nation, and only one, meets the specifications of this prophecy. It points unmistakably to the United States of America. Here is a striking figure of the rise and growth of our own nation (United States). And the lamb-like horns, emblems of innocence and gentleness, will represent the character of our government. As expressed in its two fundamental principles, Republicanism and Protestantism. ~ EGW “But the beast with lamb-like horns spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast (the Roman Catholic Church), whose deadly wound was healed; ... saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast (apostate Sunday keeping Protestantism), which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” EGW “The apostate Protestants (Sunday keepers) of the United States will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power, and under the influence of this threefold union, the country will follow in the steps of Rome, trampling the rights of conscience.” EGW So the United States of America will end up speaking like a dragon (a nation speaks through its legislation and laws), will institute a Sunday law and put Gods people (those who keep Gods true holy Sabbath) to death. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads. Revelation 13:16. The mark of the beast on the right hand and in the forehead represents thoughts and actions, people will have two choices: to keep pagan Sunday or the God given Sabbath. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed Revelation 13:15. Refusal of Sunday worship will result in the penalty of death after every effort has been made to make God s people give up their faith by fine and imprisonment. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Fathers name written in their foreheads. Revelation 14:1. Many people speculate that the guillotine will re-emerge to behead the commandment-keeping saints. There will be a group who faithfully keep Gods commandments, who will not be martyred and will never see death. This group is called the 144,000. This is another study in itself, we must strive to be one of them.
