The boys and I were headed back home from spending a couple days in Watford City, ND where JP is working. The snow had arrived much earlier than forecasted and I was driving my Camaro. We hit a patch of black ice and the car went into a spin across into oncoming traffic and I somehow was able to get back into my lane before hitting anyone, but in the meantime, an 18 whlr and 3 pickup trucks were bearing down on me from behind and trying to slow down to avoid hitting me when they saw my car spin out of control, no guard rail, just mountain on my right....I finally made it to the side of the road and attempted to turn around back to Watford City and got stranded on the shoulder of the highway in a curve, downhill and kept sliding down in my attempts to get unstuck. The boys and I were terrified! Fortunately, I was able to get in contact with JP and he left work to come pull me off the road, my car was slipping everywhere behind him on the chain and I was in tears and complete panic! He called me on the speaker and calmed me down as I was hyperventilating from fright. He finally got me to a place we could switch vehicles and he drove the car back into town and got us into a hotel for the next 2 nights because 6 more inches of snow is expected tomorrow. I know that God had His hand on us and helped me get my car back under control because it was a goner when we started to slide all over the road at 30 mph and other vehicles coming at us at 55! The only Name I call in every situation is JESUS and He rescued us today! Im so thankful and blessed! Going to bed now to try and relax!
